Mrs. Carrie Adkins Cloud, 72, a resident of the Scott's Prairie neighborhood in Fountain County most of her life died at :50 o'clock Wednesday morning at her home, 106 E College Street. She had been ill the past year with a heart ailment.
Born Dec 5, 1877, in Ripley Township, Montgomery County, Mrs. Cloud was the daughter of Andrew J. and Maria Neibling Etter. She was married twice, first on April 8, 1901 to George B. Adkins of Alamo who preceded her in death. Her second husband, Charles Stephen Cloud whom she married May 24, 1946 died May 30, 1948. Mrs. Cloud was a member of Scott's Prairie Christian Church. She had resided in Crawfordsville the past year.
Surviving are two sons, Leslie W. Adkins of Kingman and Kenneth F. Adkins of Veedersburg; a daughter, Mrs. Gertrude Babb of Crawfordsville; three grandchildren, a great grandson and a sister, Mrs. Lottie Grubbs of Capac, Mich. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Friday afternoon at the late residence.

Mrs. Carrie Adkins Cloud, 72, former resident of Scott’s Prairie neighborhood, died Wednesday March 22 at her home in Crawfordsville. She had been ill the past year with a heart ailment. The funeral service was held at the home on 106 East College Street Friday afternoon with the Rev. Martin Rosche Indianapolis officiating. Burial in the Masonic Cemetery at Waynetown. Mrs. Cloud was born Dec 5, 1877 in Ripley Township Montgomery County, the daughter of Andrew J. and Maria Neibling Etter. She was married twice first on April 8, 1901 to George Adkins who preceded her in death. Her second husband Charles Stephen Cloud whom she married May 24, 1946 died May 30, 1948.
