Ed Clodfelter, life-long resident of Putnam county died Sunday noon in his home three miles southeast of Russellville. He was 83.
The son of Marion and Martha Grimes Clodfelter, he was born in Putnam county Sept. 19, 1867. He married Lula Norman at Russellville Sept. 23, 1892. A farmer his entire lifetime, Mr. Clodfelter had lived on his present farm for half a century. He was a member of the Russellville Masonic lodge and an elder in the Russellville Christian church. He had been in failing health for five years.
Surviving are the widow; three sons, Alvin of Crawfordsville, Otis of Russellville and Norman of New York; seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock at the Russelville Christian church with Rev. E. W. Fitch pastor, in charge. Burial was in the Hebron Cemetery.

Edward Clodfelter, 82 year old lifetime resident of this community died Sunday, Feb. 19, 1950, after an extended illness. He was born Sept. 9, 1867, being the eldest child of Marion and Martha Clodfelter. On Sept. 24, 1893 he was married to Lula Norman, and to this union was born three sons, Alvan of Crawfordsville, Otis of Russellville, and Norman of Chatham, New Jersey.
Mr. Clodfelter was a member of the Russellville Christian Church for over 50 years, and of the Russellville Masonic Lodge since 1904. He was Clerk-Treasurer of the Church for forty-five years and also served as deacon and elder. At the time of Mr. Clodfelter's death, Mr. and Mrs. Clodfelter had the longest record of church membership of any married couple in the Russellville Church.
Survivors are the widow, three sons, seven grand-children, and three great grand children. One three year old grandson preceded him in death. Survivors also include four sisters and one brother.

Ancil Clodfelter of Greencastle; Mrs. Roy Cooper of Stilesville; Mrs. Ed Ensor of Bainbridge; Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Harbison and daughter, and Mrs. Floyd Fowler of Clinton Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Townsend and sons, Tommy and Johnny, of Wingate; Mrs. Claude Ballard and son, Ancil, and wife and Mrs. Lester Murdock of Waynetown; Mrs. Minnie Call, Rev. Stanley McGaughey, and Mr. and Mrs. Dalton Harbison of Roachdale; Mr. and Mrs. Alvan Clodfelter and Jesse Clodfelter of Crawfordsville and Norman Clodfelter of Chatham, New Jersey.
