Attica – Abel T. Claypool, 86, retired farmer, died in Community Hospital, Williamsport at 3:30 a.m. Tuesday. He was a patient there three days. Born in Shawnee Township, he had lived in Attica 12 years. As a young man he was graduated from Normal High an Indianapolis law school and was admitted to the bar in Indiana. He was married to Carson Lemon who died in 1940. Surviving are a son, Paul E. Claypool of Lafayette; three daughters, Mrs. Josephine Goings and Mrs. Alice Farrell of Indianapolis, and Mrs Carson Hambright of Perrysville and a sister, Miss Jessie Claypool of Attica.

Funeral Notices – Abel T. Claypool – Friends may call at DeSutter Funeral Home, Attica after 6 p.m. Wednesday and after 2 p.m. Thursday. Services in funeral home at 2 p.m. Friday, the Rev. Douglas a Dickey officiating. Interment in Riverside Cemetery. Two grandchildren and two great grandchildren survive. - kz
