Clark - Mary Farnsworth

Mary W. Clark was born in Butler County in 1825, was married to John Clark in 1849. She was the mother of ten children, six of whom survive her, three dying when small and one, her youngest son who died three years ago in manhood. John Clark, her husband, died a little over a year ago. He was well known here and was a soldier in the war with Mexico.
She with her daughter, Millie, was visiting her daughter, Mrs. George W. King, at Frankfort and while there was taken sick with stomach trouble and did not live to return to her home at New Richmond. She died on Saturday morning, May 3d.
The funeral service was held at the home of her daughter, Mrs. King, Sunday evening at 4 o’clock, the Rev. Ogden of the Methodist Church officiating. Monday the body was taken to New Richmond for interment where services were held at the grave by Rev. Weston of New Richmond. Four daughters and two sons are left to mourn the loss of a loving and devoted mother. Mrs. Geo. W. King, Frankfort, Mrs. D. W. Hughes, of Crawfordsville, Mrs. Charles F. Killen, of Nickersham, Washington, Willis M. Clark, of Arcadia, Ellis and Millie Clark, of New Richmond, all of whom were present at the last sad rites of their mother.
