Darlington - Charles W. Clouser, 98, of Rt Darlington, died in his home at 9 a.m. Sunday. Mr. Clouser, a farmer, was born in Montgomery County and had lived on the same farm since 1905. His wife, Martha Ann,m preceded him in death in 1924. He was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Crawfordsville. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Lyle Endres of Rt 2, Thorntown; three sons, Joe Clouser of Darlington, Martin Clouser at home and Harry Clouser of Colfax, and one sister, Mrs. Charles Callahan of Watsonville, Calif. Burial will be Tuesday in Crawfordsville - kbz

Darlington -Charles W. Clouser, 98, died at 9 a.m. Sunday at his home on Rt. 1, Darlington. He was born in Montgomery County Sept 16, 1871, a son of Alfred S. and Maria Huber Clouser. On Sept 8, 1904 he was married to Martha Ann Clouser who preceded him in death April 29, 1929. He was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church and had farmerd all of his life living at his present residence since 1905. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Louise Endres of Thorntown; 3 sons, Joe X of Darlington, Martine E. of Darlington and Henry F. of Colfax; a sister, Mrs. Kate Callahan of Watsonville, Calif; and 24 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Josephine. Funeral services will be conducted at St. Bernard Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Tuesday with Rt. Rev. Msgr. Henry F. Ward officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call after 7 p.m. Monday at the Russell & Hitch Funeral Home at Thorntown where recitation of prayers will be held at 8 p.m. Monday. - kbz
