Marshall -- Maude Clore, 86 of Marshall, died Thursday (12-5) afternoon in the Howard Avenue Nursing Home, Rockville. She had been in failing health six years. Born in Fountain County March 3, 1882, she was a daughter of John and Amanda Pittman Banta. She married Everett Clore on Dec 10, 1903, in Marshall. Mrs. Clore was a member of the Royal Neighbors Lodge and had lived in this community since 1916. She was a Hillsboro HS graduate. Survivors include her husband; a daughter Mrs. (Marie) Fred Smiley of Rt 1, Judson; a granddaughter, Mrs. James Hazlett of Indianapolis; a great grandson, Larry Hazlett of Indianapolis; a sister, Mrs. Lulu Smith of Waveland; a brother, Carl Banta of Canada and nieces and nephews. Preceding Mrs. Clore in death were a sister, five brothers and a great grandson, Lance Cpl. Robert Hazlett who was killed in Vietnam. Funeral rites are 2 p.m. Saturday at Machled & Servies Funeral Home in Waveland where friends may call. Burial in Old Union Cemetery.
