Erastus CLORE, one of the oldest and most respected citizens of the Byron Community, died at his home north of that place on Wednesday morning after a lingering illness with heart complications. Funeral services at the Byron Christian Church of which he was a member will be held this afternoon at 1:30 in charge of Rev. John Servies. Burial in Maple Ridge. Mr. Clore was the son of Berryman and Mary Rice Clore and was born near the place of his death on March 9, 1857. He is survived by 3 sons, Bernard, Earl and Vern and two daughters, Mrs. Charles MITCHELL and Mrs. Raymond SPENCER all living near Byron. Mrs. Johnson Clore of Crawfordsville is a sister. Note: "Ras" Clore is Erastus Clore, son of Berryman Clore and Mary Rice. The child must be Bettie L. Clore, born 28 March 1911 in Parke Co, IN and died 10 April 1911 in Waveland. She is buried in Maple Ridge Cemetery. Bettie's mother was Erastus' second wife Ionia Elvie Keeling.
