Mrs. Elizabeth Clore died at the home of her niece, Mrs. SW Carpenter on Saturday evening. Funeral services were conducted by Rev WF Gibson. Music was rendered by the Presbyterian Choir. The body was laid to rest in Maple Ridge. Miss Elizabeth Love was born in Burlington, Boone Co KY Nov 7, 1824. She married Dr. Chamblin (note: the typist and long-time resident of Waveland believes his name was Braxton Chamberlain) she married Simeon Clore Jan 4, 1871. He died about three years ago (typist -- May 27, 1902) ; since then she has made her home with Mrs. Carpenter. Although she never had any children of her own, she took a mother's place to and raised 5 nephews and nieces, one of home, Mrs. Howard Demaree she cared for from infancy. Those from a distance present at the funeral were: BW Campbell; Milton Campbell; nephews of Mrs. Clore, Cincinnati, Ohio; Mrs. JP Yorke, Dana; Mrs. James Allen, William Allen and wife, Alamo; Mrs. JW Talbot, Mrs. Johnson Clore, Mrs. John Garr and Elijah Clore, Crawfordsville. - kbz

Mrs. Elizabeth Clore died Saturday evening at 4 o'clock at the home of Mrs. Sam Carpenter on East Green Street. The funeral was conducted there Monday morning at 10:30 by Rev. WF Gibson of the Presbyterian Church after which the body was laid to rest in Maple Ridge Cemetery. - kbz
