Alan Clodfelter, 83, who had farmed south of Crawfordsville for more than 50 years, died Monday at Mission, Texas where he had made his home since last fall. A veteran of World War I, he was a member of World War I Barracks, Christian Church, Masonic Lodge and Farm Bureau. Born Aug. 3, 1894, at Russellville, he was a son of Edward and Lula Norman Clodfelter. His first marriage was in 1918 to Jaunita Carrington. He was next married to Vivian Pike. She survives. Other survivors are a son, Elton of Evansville; two daughters, Lorene Townsend of Veedersburg and Ruth Brown of Lowell; a brother, Otis of Russellville; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Hunt & Son Funeral Home. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Thursday.
