Special to The Journal Ladoga, Sept. 3 Joseph CLICK, sixty-four years old, a highly respected citizen of this city for the past twelve years, died this morning at seven, after a prolonged illness with Bright's disease. He had been ill with this disease for the past year and his death had been expected at any time during this week. Mr. Click was the son of Jonathan and Sarah Click of Virginia and came here with his parents when he was very young. For a number of years he was in the hardware business in North Salem. Before coming with his family to make his home in Ladoga he resided on a farm near here. He is survived by a widow and two sons, Cecil and Edward, who both reside on farms near here. Mr. Click was twice married, the first time to Miss Sarah Britton in 1874. To this union one son was born. He is now dead and his mother passed away in February, 1877. On Jan 16, 1880, Mr. Click was united in marriage with Miss Jessie Owen. To this union three children, two sons already mentioned, and one daughter, who died in infancy, were born. Mr. Click was one of a family of fourteen children, nine brothers and four sisters. Two of the brothers, Jonathan of Missouri, and James of Jamestown, Ind., survive and one sister, Mrs. Catherine Morris of Monticello survives. Eight brothers and three sisters are dead. Mr. Click was a deacon of the Christian Church here and an active worker before his death failed him. The funeral will occur sometime on Sunday the hour has not been definitely fixed. Burial will be in the North Salem Cemetery. - kbz
