JAMES WILLIAM CLEVELAND

James William Cleveland died at his home, 1111 west Market street, at 10:30 o'clock Saturday morning, from complications which had rendered him an invalid since about the first of December. Mr. Cleveland operated an automobile laundry at 110 east Market street for the past four years and had a wide acquaintance, being highly esteemed by a large circle of friends. He was born in Henry county, Kentucky, March 8, 1863, the son of Amos and Emaline Cleveland. As a young man he came to this county and on June 4, 1887, he married Elizabeth McCalment. He was a member of the United Brethren Church and was also a member of the local lodges of I.O.O. F. and Modern Woodmen. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. J.W. Cleveland; two daughters, Mrs. Edna Booker of New Ross, and Miss Zola Cleveland at home; a step-daughter, Miss Dora McCalment, at home; two brothers, Dan Cleveland of this city and Noah Cleveland of Mellott; two sisters, Mrs. Mira Laidley of Cates Station and Mrs. Lida McGrew of Lafayette; and a granddaughter, Miss Ella Booker of New Ross. Funeral services will be held at 1 :30 o'clock Monday afternoon from the First Brethren church and burial will be at the Masonic cemetery. - thanks to Kim H
