Mrs. Mary Clements, 89, a resident of this city for the past 84 years, died at the new Wabash Nurses Home, 401 W. Main Street, at 10:30 o'clock Thursday night following an illness of several weeks. Death was due to the infirmities of old age. Born in Liverpool, England, July 4, 1847, she came to this country with her parents, James and Agnes Hamilton when she was 5. She had lived in Crawfordsville since that time. Mrs. Clements was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church. Her marriage to Henry Clements took place more than a half century ago. Mr. Clements preceded his wife in death in 1913. The survivors include four sons: John H; Frank A; and Charles of this city and Harry of Cleveland, Oh; a brother, James Hamilton of this city; several grandchildren; three great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. A son, James and a daughter, Mrs. Virginia Dodds preceded their mother in death. The funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the home of Charles Clements, 615 E. Wabash Avenue. The body will be taken there from the Hunt & Ratcliff Funeral home late this afternoon. - kbz
