Charles I. "Dutch" Clements, 83, died Monday morning at Culver Hospital, following an illness of 10 days. Mr. Clements, a native of Crawfordsville, spent most of his adult life associated wiht the W. R. Robb Grocery Company here but served in the YMCA service during WWI. Before retirement he was turnkey at the Montgomery County jail. Mr. Clements was a charter member of the Crawfordsville Aerie of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He was the son of Mary Hamilton and Henry C. Clements who was a native of Ireland and was married in Crawfordsville to May Drury, who preceded him in death about 20 years ago. His brothers, John H, James and Harry also precede him as did one sister, Mrs. Jennie Dodds. Survivors include one brother, Frank who is a patient in the Bowles Nursing Home, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Wed afternoon at 2:30 at Hunt & Son Funeral Home and burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. - kbz
