Elijah Harris CLARK, resident of this community most of his life died at his home Thursday afternoon at 2:45 o' clock. Death was due to cerebral hemorrhage and followed an illness of 12 days. He was stricken on his 75th birthday. Mr. Clark was born at Buffalo, MO on Nov 6, 1870 the son of James F. and Louisa RICHARDSON Clark, coming to Indiana when quite young. He was a printer for a number of years later working with his father as a building contractor. He was married to Sarah Van OSTROM of Delphi in 1890, whose death occurred in 1893. In 1897, he was married to Mary A. BRITTON of Crawfordsville. Mr. Clark was a member of the Christian Church. The survivors include the wife, two daughters, Mrs. Oscar COWGER of Winamac, Mrs. Glyndon GRIMES of Indianapolis and a son, William of Lafayette; also 12 grandchildren and 10 greats. Funeral services were held at the home Saturday afternoon with Rev. Forrest Graves of New Ross in charge assisted by Rev Bond of Indianapolis. Mr. NR Walker played several selections of the piano. The casket bearers include TN Johnson; Walter Wright; Wayne Simms; Lee Foster; NR Walker and charles M. Moore. These also acted as flower bearers. Burial in Oak Hill Cemetery near Crawfordsville. - kbz

Elijah Harris CLARK died at his home here Thursday afternoon at 2:45 o'clock. Death was due to a cerebral hemorrhage which he had suffered 12 days previously. Mr. Clark was formerly a printer and followed the carpenters trade for the greater part of his life, was born Nov 6, 1870 at Buffalo, MO the son of James f. and Louisa RICHARDSON Clark. He came to Indiana as a young man and was married to Sarah VanOSTRON of Delphi and later he married Mary A. BRITTON in 1897. Mr. Clark was a devoted member of the Christian Church in Waveland to the end. There survive two daughters, Mrs. Ruth GRIMES of Indianapolis and Mrs. Oscar COUGER of Winamac and a son, William of Lafayette. - kbz
