Cedars - Ivan

Ivan L. Cedars, 56, of 906 Elmore St, a retired employee of Olin-Mathieson Co. after 11 years of service, died Friday evening in Culver Hospital after a long illness. Mr. Cedars was a member of the Christian Church and American Legion. He had also been employed as a truck driver and worker for CEL&P.
He was a veteran of WWII.
He was born at Wesley on Nov 15, 1922, a son of Oscar and Lola Gillem Cedars. He was married to Betty Elkins on Nov 5, 1949 at Crawfordsville. She survives. Also surviving are two sons, Thomas of Crawfordsville and Robert of Atlanta, GA; two daughters, Mariam Morley and Carol Cedars, both of Crawfordsville; a brother, Clarence of GLen Ellyn, Ill; a sister, Masrgaret Mooday of Shannondale and four grandchildren
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Burkhart Funeral Home at Crawfordsville with burial in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Sunday. - kz
