Waynetown - Harry RIchard Cedars, 33, died at 1 p.m. Wednesday of a heart attack while at work at the RR Donnelly & Sons plant in Crawfordsville. He had been a Donnelley employee for 15 years in the bindery department. Born Dec 12, 1924 two miles east of Waynetown, he was the son of Verne and Elsie Atkinson Cedars. He was married May 4, 1947 to Maxine Taylor.
Mr. Cedars was a member of the Waynetown Baptist Church, the Golden Rule Sunday School Class, the Masonic Lodge, the OES, the Square Club at the plant and the DOnnelley Club. He was a Waynetown HS graduate and a combat engineer in WWII.
Surviving are his wife; a son, Larry, his mother of Crawfordsville; three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Ragan of Crawfordsville, Mrs. Betty Miles and Mrs. Nellie Allen of Waynetown.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Servies Funeral Home with Rev. William L. Clark officiating. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery at Waynetown. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Thursday. - kbz
