John Lawrence Chinn, 29, of West Lafayette died at the V.A. Hospital in Indianapolis Sunday, August 9, 1981. He had been ill for the past year. He was born in Lafayette July 23, 1952, and reared in the Wingate area. He was married Nov. 26, 1973, in Korea to Insuk Pak who survives. Mr. Chinn was a graduate of North Montgomery High School in 1972. He was employed by the Lafayette School Corporation. He served in the U. S. Army from 1972 to 1979. Survivors besides his wife are: one son, Richard, at home; his mother, Mrs. Evelyn Chinn of Lafayette; six brothers, Ronald, Sam, Bryan, David and Gregg Chinn, all of Lafayette and Paul Chinn of Buck Creek; four sisters, Mrs. Tim (Rosemary) Overman of Ft. Collins, Colo., Mrs. Mike (Vicki) Stevenson of Lafayette and Julie and Brenda Chinn, both of Lafayette; two grandparents, Mrs. Sarah McMasters of Attica and Edgar Foster of Washington, Ill. Funeral services were held at the Hippensteel Funeral Home in Lafayette with the Rev. Bill Smith officiating. Burial in Riverside Cemetery, Attica.--waw
