Death of George Chesterson George Chesterson, an aged and respected farmer, died at his home fives miles southeast of this city Wednesday of grip complications after a brief illness. He leaves a wife and nine children. The funeral will occur at the home at 10 o'clock Friday morning and will be conducted by Rev. J. H. Oliphant. Interment at K. of P. Cemetery at Mace. One more summons has been issued and its imperative call has been willingly answered. George Chesterson, deceased was born June 28, 1832 and quietly passed away Feb 14, 1906, aged 83 years, 7 months 11 days. The first three years of his life was spent in Ohio, when he with his parents moved to a farm some 4 miles southwest of Crawfordsville. He was a member of the Baptist Church of which he was a faithful member until his death. On Oct 17, 1844, he was married to Louisa Fender and to them were born 10 children, 8 of whom are living: James H; Jonathan F; John N; Thomas M; William H; Emma J; Benjamin F Chesterson, Mrs. Lizzie Clossin, Mrs. Charity Beebe and Sarah Ella, the latter two having departed life. He was a kind and loving husband and father, a good neighbor and a good, honest citizen. - kbz
