Mrs. Carrie Mae Chapman, 60, of 610 Tuttle Ave died at 1:20 p.m. Wed in Culver Hospital. She had been in failing health 5 years and hospitalized one month. Born Feb 22, 1900 in Crawfordsville, she was a daughter of Albert and Lena Singer Irvin. She married Herbert Chapman July 10 1919. Mrs. Chapman was a life long resident of this city and was a member of the First Baptist Church. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Mildred Hultz, Mrs. Neva Stephenson, and Mrs. Pat Stephenson of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Betty Waterfall of Phoenix, Ariz; a stepson Merle Miller of Crawfordsville; two half brothers, Floyd Norton of Crawfordsville and Lloyd Norton of Detroit; a half sister, Mrs. Gladys Gilfoy of North Judson 18 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. - kbz
