Evelyn O. Cedars, 65, of 306 Scott St., died Saturday morning in St. Vincent Hospital at Indianapolis. Mrs. Cedars had been an employee of Elmer’s Beauty Salon for many years. She was a member of the Church of God. Born Nov. 11, 1911, at Crawfordsville, she was a daughter of James A. and Sarah Ellen Swank Schwitzer. She married Raymond E. Cedars on May 20, 1932. He survives. Also, surviving are a son, Delbert E. of Crawfordsville; two daughters, Mrs. Ed (Margaret) Pittenger of Rt. 5, Crawfordsville, and Mrs. Elihu (Delores) Runyan of Waynetown; a brother, Elmer Schwitzer of Crawfordsville; three sisters, Mrs. Harold Livingston, Mrs. Alfred Hunt and Mrs. Donald Wray, all of Crawfordsville; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Hunt & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Gorge Emmert officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
