Cassidy, Betty - Montgomery InGenWeb Project

Mrs. Betty Elizabeth Cassidy, 72, died last Friday night at the Small Nursing Home in Waynetown where she had been a patient for about a week. Mrs. Cassidy had been in failing health for 9 years and in critical condition for the past three months. She was a resident of Covington for 35 years. Mrs. Cassidy was born in Cherry Grove, Ind Aug 8, 1881 daughter of John W. and Margaret Miller Groendyke. She was the youngest of six children. She was a member of the Waynetown Christian Church.  Surviving are two daughters: Mrs. Mae Edwards of Covington and Mrs. Curtis F. Redinbo of Lafayette; a son, Uz Butcher of Crawfordsville.  Funeral services were Sunday afternoon in Covington with Rev. Maurice William officiating. Burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery. --kbz
