Robert Carson, one of Crawfordsville’s old citizens died at his room in the Hartley house on south Washington street last Saturday night of Bright’s disease at the age of 71 years. The funeral occurred on Tuesday afternoon Rev. JP Fuson officiating. Mr. Carson was unmarried but had a sister living in the southern part of this county and a brother in Kansas City, Mo. Mr. Carson amassed a snug little fortune in the grocery business here years ago but of late has lived a quiet, retired life.

Robert Carson, aged 71 years, died Saturday evening at his room at the Hartley House on South Washington Street. He had been a sufferer from Bright’s disease for some time. The funeral will occur tomorrow afternoon at 2 o’clock, conducted by Rev. G. P. Fuson. Mr. Carson was unmarried but has relatives living in the country. Of late years, he has been in no business, but once owned a grocery store here and amassed considerable property. He was a quiet, unobtrusive citizen and had the esteem of all who knew him.
