CARROLL, Orville - WWII

Crawfordsville – Orville L. (Red) Carroll, 59 died at 6:20 p.m. Monday in the home of a sister, Miss Gold Carroll, 805 West Market Street.  He had been in failing health three years.  He had operated a tavern for 20 years and also was employed by a grocery and bakery. A veteran of WWII, he was a member of Darlington Congregational Christian Church, Eagles and American Legion. Surviving with the sister in whose home he died are two other sisters, Miss Lena Carroll, Darlington and Mrs. Antha Martin, Indianapolis. Burial will be at Darlington. – kbz
