Canine, Keziah Montgomery

Mrs. Cornelius Canine died last night at 10 o’clock at her home, two miles north of Waveland, in the sixty fifth year of her age. The funeral occurs tomorrow afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Union Baptist Church, services conducted by Elder Oliphant. Mrs. Canine was the daughter of the late James Montgomery and leaves two sisters, Mrs. Wm Fisher and Mrs. Amazon Ward, of this city. She also leaves her husband and six children to mourn her loss besides her aged mother, Mrs. Phoebe Montgomery. Mrs. Montgomery is now 97 years old but is in excellent health. The scene at the bedside last evening when this venerable old lady bade her daughter farewell was a most touching one.
