Carl Edward Campbell, 56, a resident of this city most of his life, died Monday at the Hillcrest Hospital in Vincennes where he had been a patient since March 4. Born Jan 28, 1897 in Crawfordsville Mr. Campbell was the son of Marion and Rosabelle Plunkett Campbell. He attended the Crawfordsville schools. Mr. Campbell was associated with Mid-States Steel & Wire of this city for 18 years and later worked as an electrician for Sommer Methalcraft Corp here. SUrviving are two sons, Carl E. Campbell Jr. of this city and Donald Campbell of Phoenix, Ariz; three daughters, Mr. Louis J. Douglas and Mrs. John Vaught, both of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Max Murray of Tower Hill, Ill; two sisters, Mrs. Willie Broach of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Joe Brann of Lafayette; a brother, Claude Campbell, also of Crawfordsville and 8 grandchildren. He wa spreceded in death by a brother and a sister. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Bright Funeral Home. The Rev. George T. King will be officiating minister. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home - kbz
