CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind., Jan. 19 - Mrs. Mary A. Callahan, age seventy-six, widow of Michael J. Callahan, former salesman, is dead at her home here. Born in Limerick county, Ireland. In 1867, Mrs. Callahan came to America two years later with her parents. Timothy Casey and Nora Casey, who settled in this city. She was married in 1891 and was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic church and its Rosary Society.
Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. John Portier and Mrs. John Maloney of this city; a niece, Mary Louise Porter, teacher here; her nephew, Technical Sergeant John Maloney, with the medical corps somewhere in England. Services will be held Thursday morning at St. Bernard’s church, the pastor, the Rev. J.C. Keating officiating. – thanks to Kim H
