Caldwell May - Montgomery InGenWeb Project

Darlington, July 26 – Mrs. May Eva Caldwell, 69, widow of Frank Caldwell, died last night at 10 o’clock at Culver Hospital, Crawfordsville, where she had been taken a few hours before after a several months’ illness at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Elda Lidikay. Born near here, Aug 10, 1867, she was a daughter of Allen and Mahala Armstrong. She married Mr. Caldwell Dec 4, 1887 and they lived on a farm for a number of years, retiring they came here for residence several years ago. She was a member of the Congregational Christian Church and Pythian Sisters, holding an office at the time of her illness. She leaves two sons, Alva of Indianapolis and VT of Huntington; a daughter, Mrs. Lidikay also a sister, Mrs. Sylvia Smith of Advance and seven grandchildren. – kbz
