Thorntown Argus: Miss Addie Caldwell, a most estimable young lady, aged 26, of the vicinity of Shannondale, died last Saturday and was buried Monday at Shannondale Cemetery. Her death was due to consumption. The funeral was conducted at the village church by Rev. Black, of Darlington. The large concourse of people at her funeral, one of the larges ever seen on a similar occasion, testifies to the universal esteem in which she was held.
