Darlington, Aug 27 – Funeral services were held for Pvt James Cain, son of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Cain at the Congregational Christian Church.  The American Legion and the Odd Fellows Lodge attended the services in a body.  Private Cain was drowned Aug 17 in the Atlantic Ocean near Charleston SC while on a swimming party.  His body was accompanied here by a comrade.  Pvt. Robert Cain, a brother, of Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo. Was here to attend the funeral.   ~~~Transcribed and Typed by kbz
