On Tuesday afternoon a young Irish lad by thename of Dan Casey, aged about six years, met death in a strange and melancholy manner. The small boys along hte old Lafayette Pike have long made it a habit to jump on the wagons or other vehicles of travelers. The deceased in climbing on a spring wagon drive by Loren Miller, upset the heavy seat whjich fell out of the rear part striking him to the road before Mr. Miller knew what was wrong. The boy was taken home, but died soon afteward. - typed by kbz
