Starling Carver passed away Thursday morning at his home on Binford Street after a brief illness. His demise was due to a hemorhage of the bowels. He was 35 years of age and has been a resident of this city the greater portion of his life. He was married May 4, 1887 to Anna Corey and to them was born three children, but one of whom, Howard, survives. He leaves two brothers, a sister and half sister. Mr. Carver was a genial, whole souled man and generous to a fault. He was widely known and had many war friends. He was a prominent member of the Loyal Order of Moose, which order took charge of the funeral which was conducted in the afternoon Dr. Brumbaugh officiating. The members of the fire department also attended in a body, the deceased having been connected with the department for years. The remains were laid to rest at Oak Hill. Mrs. Sarah Reeves of Cloverdale, step mother of the deceased and a number of relatives from Putnam COunty were here to attend the funeral. - kbz

Starling Carver died Thursday morning, Nov. 24, at his home on Binford Street after an illness of several days. The funeral took place on Friday, interment at Oak Hill Cemetery.  Starling Carver was born July 28, 1863, and was married to Miss Anna Cory May 4, 1887. Three children were born to them, only one of whom, Howard, is living. Mr. Carver leaves two brothers, George of this city, and Charles of Indianapolis and two sisters, Mrs. Josephine James of St. Louis and Mrs. Clara O’Brien of Clayton, Ind.
