Marie Carothers, 67, of 201 Orchard St., Waynetown, died Friday night in Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis. She was a member of New Market Christian Church. Mrs. Carothers was educated at Whitesville and graduated from Crawfordsville High School. She was born in Montgomery County Aug. 21, 1911, a daughter of Fred and Edna Logan Rhoads. She married James Noble Carothers. He survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Ralph Delp of rural Lizton; a brother, Robert Rhoads of Crawfordsville; two sisters, Thelma Alexander of Venice, Fla., and Jean Davenport of Santa Ana, Calif; and two grandchildren. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Hunt & Son Funeral Home. The Rev. Dorman Winger will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Lawn Cemetery, Thorntown. Friends may call at the funeral home. – jlr
