Kenneth J. Carlile, 51, of 1305 Indiana 32W, died at approximately 11 p.m. Friday in the emergency room of Culver Hospital. Mr. Carlile was taken ill at a Southmont High School basketball game and died of an apparent heart attack. He was a 30-year employee of R.R. Donnelley & Sons Co. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, where he had been a former board member; and the Masonic Lodge at Wallace. Mr. Carlile was in the Navy four years. He was graduated from Wallace High School in 1947 and attended Wabash College. Born Nov. 27, 1929, near Wallace, he was a son of Marvin W. and Anna E. Newkirk Carlile. He was married in 1958 to Nancy A. Dawson, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Lindsay Jerome and Kevin Joseph, both at home; two daughters, Suzanne, attending Ball State University, and Judith Lynne at home; three sisters, Mrs. Maurice (Esther) Bryant of Lafayette, Mrs. Berniece Myers of Waveland and Mrs. Mike (Barbara) Keller of Hillsboro; an aunt, Mrs. Flora Miles of Crawfordsville; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother. Services were this morning in Christ Lutheran Church at Crawfordsville with the Rev. John Stacy officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery. The Thomas Funeral Home at Waynetown was in charge of arrangements. smc
