Robert Lee CANINE, 72, who died Wednesday of last week, was buried in the Freedom Cemetery after a touching and beautiful service conducted by his pastor, Rev. CW Mears. The rites were held in the Freedom Baptist Church where he held a life long faithful membership at 2:00 o'clock Saturday afternoon. Music was furnished by the Wiatt Quartet, composed of Mable, Leo, Isaac and David Wiatt, accompanied by Wanetta Wiatt at the piano. They sang, Jesus Lover of My Soul, Abide with Me, and Good Night and Good mOrning. The pallbearesr were Charles Crain, Fred Myers, Wesley Cotton, Harry Coons, Sam Priebe and Erl Hall. The flower bearers were Mary E. Brown, Martha Brown, patty canine, Wanda Rose Hess, Martha Mae Priebe, Pauline Welchel, Margaret Canine, Naomi Canine, Helen Groves, Margaret Nichols, Ida Canine, Mayme Loman and Helen Patton. Mrs. Canine was a highly respected citizen and Christian gentleman, is survived by the widow; a son, Rev. David Canine, two daughters, Mrs. Thelma SMith of New Market and Mrs Mary Brown of Parkersburg. Three brothers, Tude Canine of Browns Valley; Joe Canine of Washington, DC and Ola Canine of Cawfordsville; two sisters, Mrs. Howard Munns of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Maude Martin of New Market and four grandchildren. - kbz
