Mrs. George Canine who has been seriously ill with bright's disease for some time, died about noon on Wednesday at her home just N. of Freedom Church. Funeral serv. will be held at the church at 1/2 past 10 today, conducted by Rev. AD Merrill of Terre Haute and Rev SK Fuson of Rockville. Interment in Freedom cem. Mrs. Canine was the daughter of Alfred & Samantha Mitchell and was born north of town 62 years ago. To her marriage with Beorge Canine were born 4 children: Mrs. Lena Myers, Mrs. Samantha Cason, BC Canine and Mrs. Kittie Whelchel. There are two surviving sisters; Mrs. Francis M. Connor and Mrs. Gilbert Blake. She was a member of the Freedom Baptist Church. -- kbz
