Jesse W. Canine, who has been in poor health for a long time, died at his home in Crawfordsville on Monday morning. He was the son of James R. and Sarah Proctor Canine, and was born November 25, 1871 on the old Fisher farm north of town. He married Lilia B. Hanna in 1892 who died in 1900. He 1905 he married Florence M. Clements who survives him, with two children, Mrs. Caroline Linderman and Miss Frances Mae. He was one of the first men in this section to engage in real estate selling as a regular profession, and had a wide acquaintance in the County. The late John Harvey Canine was a brother. - kbz
