Ogdensburg, NY - Following an attack of heart disease with which he was taken ill a week ago, Hal B. Cannine (sic) died at Watertown. Mr. Canine was 46 years of age. He was born in Louisville, Ky. and secured his education there. He studied medicine in Louisville Kentucky and secured his education there. He studied medicine in the Louisville Medical College there but did not take up the practice of the profession as he became interested in machinery following his graduation from medical college. He was a member of the Masonic Order, being a Knight Templar, a Shriner and a 32nd degree Mason. Besides his wife he is survived by a brother Dr. Edward Canine and a sister, Mrs. Marion Fulton of London, England. The deceased has many relatives in this city. He was a nephew of Henry Canine who resides on West College Street. Besides being a graduate physician, he was a dentist but disliking both professions, he took to traveling employed by the Atlas Engine Works of Indianapolis and he often visited this city which was a part of his territory. Many years ago his father, James F. Canine was a dentist in this city, his office being that now occupied by Dr. Linn and it has been used as a dental office ever since being established by Mr. Canine. The parents of Hal Canine are buried in the Masonic Cemetery, this city. - kbz
