Waynetown, Nov 23 -- Angeline Campbell, daughter of Joseph and Sarah J. Moore Truax, was born on a farm near Alamo, Montgomery County, Ind March 20, 1848. Here she grew to womanhood and Feb 9, 1873 (sic 1874 Marr Bk 8 p 138) she was united in marriage to Andrew Campbell and to this union 5 children were born, two sons and three daughters. One daughter, Miss Tulip, passed away March 16, 1905. After her marriage she and her husband began housekeeping in Veedersburg where they resided for a number of years. Moving from there to Alamo where they resided for some time, and 25 years ago they moved to Crawfordsville in which home Mr. Campbell passed away June 7, 1922. She had been seriously ill for only one week during which time all was done for her that could be done by physicians and loving hands of the family, but it was without avail for near the noon hour of Saturday, November 17, 1934 she passed away at the age of 86 years, 6 months 27 days. She is survived and mourned by two daughters, Mrs. Daisy Walton and Miss Zoe Campbell who reside at the home of their mother, 1004 West Market Street. Two son, Paul of Beaver Dam, Wisconsin; Ambrose G of Crawfordsville; four grandchildren, two great grandchildren. One brother, Mark Truax of Bellingham, Washington and many relatives and friends. When a young girl and while residing at Alamo, she united with the Alamo Christian Church and continued in that faith to the end of life's journey. Mrs. Campbell was known by those of her relatives and friends as a devoted wife and mother, a good neighbor and a Christian lady. After many years of affliction that she has gone unto the beyond and may peace be unto her departed soul. -- kbz
