The funeral of Charles Callahan was conducted this morning at St. Bernard's Church a large concourse of friends being in attendance. There was a wealth of lovely floral offerings which were borne to the church by Misses Hannah and Mary Callahan, Mary Zeller and Helena Shean. On Wednesday night Charles Callahan died of Bright’s disease at the home of his mother on east Market street after an illness of two months. His decline from apparent perfect health was shockingly rapid. He was 35 years of age and born in Crawfordsville. He was unmarried. He was a sober, honest young man and everybody was his friend. His funeral was from St. Bernard’s Toman Catholic Church on Saturday morning. - kbz

Charles L. Callahan, aged 35 years, died Wednesday night at 8 o’clock at the home of his mother, East Market Street. He had been suffering for some time with Bright’s disease and heart trouble and his death was not unexpected.
The funeral will occur on Saturday morning at 9 o’clock from St. Bernard’s Catholic Church. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery. Mr. Callahan was a popular young man and had a great number of friends who will be pained to learn of his untimely demise.
