Mrs. Inez Houston Cain, a former resident of Crawfordsville and Darlington died Saturday at the Indiana State Soldiers Home in Lafayette. She was 86. Mrs. Cain had lived at the home since sept 1964. Prior to moving there, she lived most of her life in Montgomery county. She was born Feb 12, 1880 in the southwest part of the county. Her parents were Albert and Sarah Jane Miller Voris. She married Lewis Houston in 1900 and Roy Cain in 1935. Mr. Cain died in November of 1959. Surivvors include a daughter, Mrs. Paul Dickey of Darlington; four sons, Paul Houston and Clifford Houston of Crawfordsville; Audie Houston of Lafayette and Feye Houston of Muncie; one stepson, Lewis Alfred Cain of Chicago; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Mildred McClelland; two sisters, Mrs. Martha Newkirk of Indianapolis and Mrs. Elsie Weliver of Crawfordsville; 10 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by one daughter, two sisters, four grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Bright Funeral Home in Crawfordsville. Rev. John R. Servies will officiate. Burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home. - kbz
