Danville, Ill. -- Ralph Butts, 65, died at 6:20 p. m. Sunday at St. Elizabeth's Hospital. He had been ill a year and was a hospital patient but one day. His death was attributed to a heart ailment. He was born in Hillsboro Oct. 2, 1889, the son of Napoleon and Elvira Bailey Butts. On Aug. 28, 1909, he married Blanche Anderson. He had resided in Danville 42 years and was a machinist for Robert Holmes & Bros. for 37 years. Mr. Butts was a well known singer and was a member of the Second Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife; six sisters, Mrs. C. R. Bunnell and Mrs. Anna Myer, both of Waynetown, Mrs. Perry Cooper of Lebanon, Mrs. Leo Sullivan of Coral Gables, Fla., Mrs. Ruth Hanley and Miss Edith Butts, both of Chicago and a brother, John Butts of Danville, Ill. Services will be at 10:30 a. m. Wednesday in, the Edmund and Dickson Funeral Home followed by burial in Rose Hill Cemetery at Hillsboro. Graveside rites will be held and the casket will be opened at the grave.  --typed by Walt W
