Veedersburg — Earl R. Butts, 82, former employee of the Big Four and Nickle Plate railroads and veteran of World War I, died at 6:15 a.m. today at his home at 204 E. Washington St., Veedersburg. He was born at Stone Bluff, Ind., Oct. 19, 1889, a son of Benjamin and Rebecca Reagle Butts. He married Fleda Brewer on Aug. 20, 1925, in Covington. She survives. Other survivors include a son, Raymond D. of Bensenville, Alice Bowman, Melrose Park, Ill., Mrs. Mable Jones, Hammond, and Mrs. Ruth Williams, Veedersburg, and 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by six children, two sisters and a brother. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Parham Funeral Home here with Rev. Alfred Dobbs officiating. Burial will be in Osborne Prairie Cemetery near Veedersburg. Friends may call at the funeral home between 7 and 9 p.m. Wednesday. --typed by Walt W
