Daniel Busenbark, son of William and Eliza Busenbark, was born in Butler County, Ohio, October 13, 1831 and came with his parents to Union Township when but two years of age. When a young man he was married to Nancy Jane Britton, who died four years after their marriage. He was then married to Hannah L. Wray, daughter of Carson and Cynthia Wray, where they made their home on a farm four miles southeast of New Market until poor health necessitated his retiring from active life; then he moved to New Market. He has been a sufferer for ten years, the last two years being helpless most of the time. Six children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Busenbark, two of whom preceded their father. He was united with Christ by primary obedience in January, 1895. his one ambition since was that the Lord Jesus Christ would come and take his spirit home, which desire was granted Aug. 13, 1896, making his age sixty four years and ten months. May the Lord sustain the wife in her sad yet hopeful bereavement. The funeral services were conducted at the house by his pastor, Rev. Henry Ashley, of the Christian Church. The remains were laid to rest at Indian Creek Hill Cemetery. The wife and children wish to extend their sincere thanks to their friends and neighbors for their kindness and help during their great bereavement.
