Burke, Matilda - Montgomery InGenWeb Project

Grandmother Burke, relict of Jerry Burke, died Sunday at the home of her son near the wire nail factory. She was 81 years of age and had lived here for many years, being greatly beloved by all who knew her. She was a grandmother of Dick Burke, the well known dwarf, who is confined to his home by ill health. Mrs. Burke’s funeral occurred Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Mt. Tabor M. E. Church, of which she was a consistent member.  -s
