Franklin College graduate, David J. Bunnell, Redlands, Calif died Feb 21 in Laguna Hills, Calif. Private services were conducted Feb 24 in Newport Beach Calif. Born in Waynetown in 1897, Bunnell was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity while an FC student. He was married to Alice (Thompson) Bunnell who survives. Bunnel was previously employed by Crawfordsville Seed Company, and Lever Brothers International, where he served as Vice President. He had also served as a member of the Chicago Board of Trade and VP of Central Soya Company, Fort Wayne. In 1951, he moved to Lever Brothers Corporation headquarters in NY. He represented the American Oil Seed Industry at the International Congress in Rapolla, Italy in 1957. Bunnell’s alma mater conferred to him the honorary doctorate of laws degree in 1958. Survivors in addition to the wife include sons, Robert J. Bunnell of San Rafel, Calif and Dr. David J. Bunnell, Jr. Newport Beach, Calif and six grandchildren. ~~~transcribed by kbz
