BUCKLES, S. Eli - Montgomery InGenWeb Project

Oxford, April 9 - S. Eli Buckles, 62 died this morning at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette.  He lived near Pine Village.  Born at Elizabethtown, KY he was married Feb 14, 1917 to Nettie Woolridge.  He was a member of St. Patrick’s Church, Holy Name Society and Living Rosary Society.  Surviving besides the widow are four sons: Tec Sgt Charles H of Morrison Field, West Palm Beach, Fla; William B. and Robert at home and C. Floyd of the Sacred Heart Seminary at Ft. Wayne; two brothers, John H. Buckles of Wingate and A. O. Buckles of Elizabethtown, Ky; one sister, Mrs. RE Scott of Lafayette.  Body will be taken from Shipps and Sons to the residence Sunday.  Services Monday at 9, St. Patrick’s Church.
