James W. Butch, a brother of Mrs. Mary Cook and Mrs. Daniel McCall died in the Soldier's Home at Boise, Montana June 2. Mr. Butch was born in Henry Co KY. He served in the Civil War in the 9th KY Cavalry and shortly afterward moved to Montana. His home was near Hailey, where he had a ranch and mining properties worth several thousand dollars. Death resulted from Bright's disease. He was 69 and leaves 3 brothers and 3 sisters. He was unmarried. Funeral services were conducted by the GAR and WRC. Warren Butch has gone to Montana to settle up the estate. = kbz
