Waynetown - Clifford R. Bunnell, 79, Waynetown former president of the Waynetown state Bank died Thursday morning in Culver Hospital after being stricken at his home a week ago. A former director of the bank, he held the position of president in1961 when the financial institution merged with Elston Bank & Trust Company of Crawfordsville. He has been retained since that time as a member of the bank's advisory board. He was employed for many years as an autmobile salesman for GR Pitman Company, Hillsboro. He retired in 1958. In his early yeaers he worked as a general trucker. He was a member of the Wyanetown Bapt Church and Waynetown Merchant Assoc. Born May 27, 1893 at Wayentown he was the son of Jerome & Minnie RIder Bunnel. He attended Waynetown HS. He was married Oct 18, 1913 to Ruby Butts of Hillsboro. She survives. Other survivors include two sons, Wm of Crawfordsville an Emery of West Lafayette, a daughter, Mrs. Milford MIlligan of Crawfordsville; 8 grandch and 7 greats. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Mary Gavett of Waynetown. Serv will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday in Servies-Thomas Funeral Home at Waynetown with Rev. Stephen Malone offic.
