Miss Etta Buckles, 77 died at 3:45 a.m. yesterday at her home, 1614 Kossuth Street. She had been in failing health for over two years. Born at Salem, Aug 8, 1864 she was the daughter of Lafayette S. and Sidney (Wilson) Buckles. She was a graduate of Bloomington, Ill school of nursing and was a registered nurse for 45 years. The body was taken to the Hippensteel Funeral Home where friends may call after 2 p.m. Monday. Services will be conducted from the funeral home Tuesday at 10 a.m. Rev TF Williams of Trinity Methodist Church officiating; burial in Thorntown cemetery. ~~~Transcribed and Typed by kbz
