BRUCE, Nancy P. - Montgomery InGenWeb Project

The last will of Nancy P. Bruce, later of Montgomery County has been admitted to probate. The will was executed May 28, 1890 and was witnessed by James F. Harney and George S. Harney.  It provides for an equal distribution of her personal property to her children.  Her 80 acres farm is given to her son, Thomas Bruce with the stipulation that he pay at the end of one year the sum of $200 to each of the other heirs as follows: Hett Shaver, Mary Montgomery, Josh Bruce, Robert Bruce, the children of James Bruce deceased and John Bruce.  Robert Bruce was executor.  He has qualified by filing a bond in the sum of $1500 with TP Bruce, John Coons and EW Harrison as securities.  An inventory and appraisement of the personal property of the estate shows it to be valued at $764.55.  - kbz
